This extra special workshop will cover the basics of stop motion animation in our first 3 sessions, culminating in a class screening party the 4th week.
Students will create short animations from 2d images, drawings, paintings, collage and incorporate 3d aspects using objects and fimo clay. We will also spend some time on sound exploration.
Our final class will be a presentation and premier of the class short films, complete with with popcorn, awards and a VIP guest list!
This class is for students ages 9 and up. All supplies and equipment are included in class cost. Students are however encouraged to bring in objects and ideas from home. If they have a smart phone, they may bring it to class and we will introduce them to user friendly apps to continue making films on their own!
