Ceramics, Screenprinting & more!

This 3 week class will introduce students to the work of contemporary Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. In our first class, students will work with clay to create pieces inspired by her colorful and patterned sculptural work. In our second week, students will glaze ceramic work as well as create designs for screenprinting. Our final class will be spent screenprinting, working on polka dot paintings, photographing our work in a mini “infinity room” and enjoying some fun Japanese snacks together!
This class is for young artists ages 10-15. All supplies and equipment are included in class cost with the option to bring in a blank shirt, tote or tea towel to screen print on. Student work will all be finished and taken home on the last day.
