Join us at the studio for a free viewing of award winning film: Gaza Surf Club on International Surf Day. The film follows several surfers from Gaza and documents their efforts to surf and survive. The film takes a "day in the life" approach and focuses on some of the characters that made up the very small surf community.
The film was made over 5 years and released in 2016. It was acclaimed for sharing a small slice of the harsh reality of life under occupation, at that time. It is especially heartbreaking to watch now in the context of 2025. Many of the featured surfers & their families have been tragically killed in the past two years in the genocide. Now more than ever, the people of Gaza need to be seen and need our solidarity.
